 Two new premium phones from Motorola! Specifications leak

The full specifications of the upcoming Moto Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro series from Motorola have been leaked ahead of the launch. The Edge 40 series will enter global markets as a rebadged version of the Moto X40 that was launched in China last December.

The Moto Edge 40 series phone succeeds the Edge 30 series launched last year. Earlier this month, renders of the upcoming smartphone surfaced online, revealing the phone's design. Here are the leaked details about the Moto Edge 40 series so far.

Moto Edge 40 Pro: Estimated Specifications Details,

Going by the specifications, the Moto Edge 40 Pro will have a 6.67-inch curved panel with very small bezels around it, according to a MySmartPrice report. It features a full HD+ polarized screen with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Additionally, the display has a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen refresh rate is 165Hz and the touch sampling rate is 360Hz. As for the SoC, the Edge 40 Pro phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It comes with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.

Coming to the camera details, this smartphone has a triple camera setup at the back. It has a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by a 12MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. There is also a 60MP selfie camera on the front.

The Moto Edge 40 Pro packs a 4,600mAh battery with support for 125W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging. It brings MyUX 5.0 based on Android 13.

The vanilla Edge 40 smartphone sports a small 6.55-inch full HD+ polarized panel. Its display has a 144Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ support.

According to reports, the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor (which is yet to be announced). It has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, it packs a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging as well as 15W wireless charging support.

Coming to the camera details of the Moto Edge 40, the phone has a dual camera setup on the back which includes a 50MP primary camera and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. The phone also sports a 32MP camera on the front for selfies.
