After creating a buzz last year with the Nothing Phone 1, Carl Pei is expected to launch its second smartphone in India soon. Reports say that the Nothing Phone (2) has now received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. This suggests that the launch is imminent.

According to information shared by Indian tipster Sudhanshu Ambhor, the phone was spotted on the BIS website with model number AIN065. However, none of the features of this device have been leaked in this list.

As of now, there is no clear information on when this smartphone will be launched in India. At the recent MWC 2023, Nothing CEO Carl Pee confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series processor. Carl P has previously said that the Nothing Phone (2) will be 'more premium' than the current Nothing smartphone. He also confirmed that the handset will arrive in the US later this year.

The smartphone comes with an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The handset is rumored to be offered in a single variant with 12GB RAM. It may be paired with 256GB of storage.Furthermore, the device may also pack a 5,000mAh battery.

The Nothing Phone (2) phone is not a successor to the Nothing Phone (1). The smartphone comes with an innovative unique Glyph interface. It's a new way of communicating to help users reduce screen time. Unique light patterns made up of 900 LEDs indicate who's calling and indicate app notifications, charging status and more.

This flagship phone is equipped with a dual camera setup on the back which includes two advanced 50 MP sensors with the main camera powered by Sony IMX766. The phone also features night mode and scene detection, the latter of which automatically detects what one is shooting and suggests the best settings for the shot.

Nothing Phone (1) The phone sports a 6.55-inch full HD+ OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 60Hz to 120 Hz. It comes with HDR10+ on the back and front and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. None of the smartphones are powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ octa-core processor.
