The Chinese smartphone company confirmed on Thursday that the Poco X5 5G smartphone will be launched in the Indian market on March 14. Poco Phone confirmed the launch date and time of the device through a video teaser on Twitter. This phone will go on sale through Flipkart.
This new Poco X series smartphone seems to have three different color options and the phone is expected to come with a budget price tag. This Poco phone was launched in the global markets in February. It is powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC processor. Other highlights of the device include a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 6.67-inch full HD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging support.
Poco's official India account on Twitter released a teaser about the upcoming launch of the Poco X5 5G. The launch event will be held on March 14 at 12 noon and will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel. It has been confirmed that it will be sold through Flipkart.
This teaser video gives us the first look of this smartphone. And this suggests that the phone will be launched in at least three color variants. But, now let's know about the special features of this phone.
The Poco X5 5G smartphone was launched in global markets last month with a price tag of $289 (roughly Rs. 24,700) for the top-end variant with 8 GB RAM + 256GB storage. It comes in black, blue and green colors. The Indian variant is likely to be priced under Rs 20,000.

The Poco X5 5G smartphone runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12. And it sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Furthermore, the display has a hole-punch cutout to house the selfie shooter. It is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC processor coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
Looking at the camera optics details of this phone, the Poco X5 5G smartphone has a triple rear camera unit. It has a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. For selfies, there is also a 16-megapixel sensor.
Furthermore, it also has UFS2.2 storage up to 256GB. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock feature. The Poco X5 5G phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging
