New phone with satellite communication feature from Motorola! Launch details!
The next Defy rugged smartphone from Motorola is all set to launch in Q1 2023. This phone brings satellite messaging feature. According to the company, Motorola has partnered with Bullitt to bring satellite connectivity to Android devices in this phone. Satellite connectivity was introduced by Apple with the iPhone 14 series. The feature on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14Pro models allows users to make emergency calls and send SOS messages even when there is no cellular or Wi-Fi connection. Now, as announced at CES 2023, Motorola also plans to bring this feature to the Android eco-system.
According to a report by Android Authority, Bullit Satellite Connect's satellite messaging service on Motorola phones allows users to send and receive text messages, send SOS requests and share their location without using a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. The company has also confirmed that it is launching this feature with the upcoming Motorola Defy rugged 5G smartphone. However, there are no other official details about this smartphone yet.
