Motorola has launched its Moto X40 flagship smartphone in December 2022 in China. Motorola is now planning to launch this smartphone in global markets including India. The moto X40 is likely to be launched in India as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. According to a new report from Appuals, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro will reveal some key details like storage configuration, price and color options ahead of the launch. According to the report, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro may be equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage in Europe. For those who don't know, the Moto X40 in China comes with 8GB RAM+ 128GB storage and 12GB RAM clubbed with 256GB storage or 512GB storage options. According to the report, it will bring only the 12GB RAM+ 256GB storage variant in Europe.

The report also reveals the color options of the new Motorola Edge 40 Pro. It is expected to inherit the blue and black colors from the Moto X40 handset. The smartphone is priced at €850 (roughly Rs.74,500) in European countries. However, we can expect Motorola to reduce its price in the Indian market by between ₹55,000 to ₹60,000.

Motorola Edge 40 will be launched based on China's Moto X40, most of the device's features are familiar to us. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro features a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved 10-bit AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.

The motorola Edge is powered by Qualcomm's latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which also powers the recently launched iQOO 11 smartphone. In terms of optics, it may be equipped with a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto sensor. Selfies and video calling functions are handled by the 60MP front facing sensor. The handset is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 125W wired and 15W wireless charging support.

Now, as announced at CES 2023, Motorola also plans to bring this feature to the Android eco-system.
